Element level semantic matching using WordNet
نویسندگان
چکیده
We think of Match as an operator which takes two graph-like structures and produces a mapping between semantically related nodes. The matching process is essentially divided into two steps: element level and structure level. Element level matchers consider only labels of nodes, while structure level matchers start from this information to consider the full graph. In this paper we present and evaluate, on the large scale real world dataset, twelve new element level semantic matchers. The matchers exploit WordNet as a background knowledge source, and return semantic relations (e.g., equivalence, more general) between concepts rather than similarity coefficients between labels in the [0, 1] range. The twelve element level semantic matchers are evaluated against seven state of the art matching systems. The results of the matchers are found comparable with the results of the matching systems.

An Improved Semantic Schema Matching Approach
Schema matching is a critical step in many applications, such as data warehouse loading, Online Analytical Process (OLAP), Data mining, semantic web [2] and schema integration. This task is defined for finding the semantic correspondences between elements of two schemas. Recently, schema matching has found considerable interest in both research and practice. In this paper, we present a new impr...
متن کاملOntology Matching with Word Embeddings
Ontology matching is one of the most important work to achieve the goal of the semantic web. To fulfill this task, element-level matching is an indispensable step to obtain the fundamental alignment. In element-level matching process, previous work generally utilizes WordNet to compute the semantic similarities among elements, but WordNet is limited by its coverage. In this paper, we introduce ...
متن کاملAutomatic Construction of Persian ICT WordNet using Princeton WordNet
WordNet is a large lexical database of English language, in which, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms (synsets). Each synset expresses a distinct concept. Synsets are interlinked by both semantic and lexical relations. WordNet is essentially used for word sense disambiguation, information retrieval, and text translation. In this paper, we propose s...
متن کاملOMReasoner: using multi-matchers and reasoner for ontology matching: results for OAEI 2012
Ontology matching produces correspondences between entities of two ontologies. The OMReasoner is unique in that it creates an extensible framework for combination of multiple individual matchers, and reasons about ontology matching by using description logic reasoner. It handles ontology matching in semantic level and makes full use of the semantic part of OWL-DL instead of structure. This pape...
